Responsibilities
You would be responsible for driving the advertising sales and operations
for all properties owned by ibibo Web (Pvt) Ltd in India. Besides this
you will also drive partnerships with web publishers across India, so
as to create a significant advertising network in India. Challenges will
include:
- Set up from scratch the entire advertising and sales operations for
the organization.
- Be a part of the core management team, contributing to the shaping
of the organizations' business strategy while implementing the corporate
vision.
- Assist in developing company's marketing, sales and public relations
plan by providing market information and creative ideas.
- Hire and train a strong sales, operations and strategic partner development
team in India.
- Drive opening up of offices and establishments for the company across
India.
- Drive all trade marketing activities - Above the line and below the
line and establish activities that are aimed at increasing brand awareness
and customer, advertiser acquisition.
- Recruit and manage relationships with advertising agencies and re-sellers.
- Create and manage all processes and systems; Work with technology
and finance team to enable a well oiled system.
- Meet and exceed revenue targets.
- Successfully manage multi-channel sales strategy.
- Establish strong relationships with senior level individuals at advertising
agencies and direct advertising clients.
- Prospect, qualify, negotiate, and close key accounts.
Qualifications and Experience
- University Degree or equivalent.
- A minimum of 10 years sales experience with 3 years management background
2-3 years of online advertising sales required.
- Strong network of online advertisers and agencies in India (online
and offline).
- Keen understanding of the online advertising space and India market
dynamics.
- Comfort in managing local PR.
- Outstanding presentation and communication skills.
- Experience in a fast-paced technology start-up environment is preferred.
- Strong entrepreneurial spirit, and instinct for revenue-generating
activities.
- MBA from a reputed institute preferred.
